For independent adjusters and appraisers
Two estimates, one repair. Here is every difference.
An appraisal or a disputed claim usually comes down to two estimates for the same vehicle. RO Defender reconciles them line by line and turns either into a document someone outside the trade can follow.
Where it fits in your work
- Competing estimates
- Upload both. Lines are matched by part number and description even when the two estimates number and word them differently, and every disagreement is listed with what changed.
- Where the gap actually is
- The report totals the difference by parts, labor type and materials, before the deductible — so the conversation starts from where the money is, not from line 1.
- Lines only one side wrote
- Operations one estimate includes and the other omits, grouped by panel — often most of the disagreement on a large loss.
- An exhibit an umpire can read
- The Repair Cost Statement restates an estimate as labor by trade, itemised parts and materials, and scope of work, adding up to the estimate exactly.
Common questions
Can I check the matching myself?
Yes. Before the report is generated you see every pair, and can pair or group anything the matcher missed. The report cites both estimates' line numbers on every row.
Does it take a side?
No. It reports differences between two documents; it does not judge which estimate is right. The judgment stays yours.
What formats does it read?
CCC ONE and Mitchell PDFs, and CCC ONE's BMS XML export.
What does it cost?
$29 a month per tool, $49 a month for both, or $19 for a single document.
